La Restinga

In the 1970s fishermen from Valle Gran Rey (La Gomera) were settling at the Southern tip of El Hierro: the village La Restinga is situated at the "Mar de las Calmas", well known by divers throughout the whole world. Nowadays it is a protected nature preserve and wonderful diving area. 360 days of sunshine per year, bobbling boats in the harbour, a small beach, about a dozen of diving bases and the best fish restaurants of the Canaries... La Restinga features the ideal surroundings for relaxing holidays.
